Simple rules for thoughtful assistance

1. Who we are

Appysistant (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is operated by Mikel Farrell, sole trader in the United Kingdom. You can contact me at contact@appysistant.com.

2. Eligibility & accounts

• You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your region).
• Provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials secure.
• You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account.
• If you connect third-party services (Apple, Google, contacts, calendars), you authorize us to receive and process the data required to deliver the related features.

3. Using Appysistant

• We grant you a limited, non-transferable license to use the Services for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.
• You agree not to misuse Appysistant, including by uploading unlawful content, attempting to reverse engineer the service, or interfering with other users' experience.
• AI-generated suggestions are for informational purposes only and should not be treated as professional advice. Always verify information before acting on it.
• We may modify or discontinue features (including beta AI features) at any time to improve reliability or comply with platform policies.

4. User content & permissions

• You retain ownership of notes, reminders, media, and any other content you submit ("User Content"). These Terms do not give us ownership of your data.
• You grant Appysistant a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, process, transmit, and display User Content solely to provide and improve the Services.
• You confirm you have the necessary rights to share any information you upload, including contact details or media related to other individuals.
• We may remove User Content that violates these Terms or applicable law.

5. Subscriptions & third-party fees

• Some features may require a paid subscription purchased through Apple. Any such payments are handled by the app store's terms and billing policies.
• Taxes, carrier data charges, or third-party subscription fees are your responsibility.
• We may adjust pricing or plan benefits with prior notice, and you will have the option to cancel before changes take effect.

6. Privacy & data

Our Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using Appysistant you consent to those practices, including the transfer of data to partners such as Vercel, Firebase, and OpenAI to deliver the Services.

7. Third-party services

Appysistant integrates with third-party platforms (for example: Apple, Google, OpenAI, maps providers). Their terms and privacy policies govern your use of those services, and we are not responsible for their content or actions.

8. Termination

• You may stop using Appysistant at any time and can delete your account in the app.
• We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risks to other users, or fail to pay required fees.
• Upon termination, your license ends, but certain provisions (such as disclaimers, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution) will continue to apply.

9. Disclaimers

• Appysistant is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
• We do not guarantee that reminders or notifications will always be timely, uninterrupted, or error-free.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Appysistant will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data or profits. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services will not exceed the amounts you paid (if any) in the 12 months before the claim arose.

11. Indemnity

You agree to defend and hold harmless Appysistant and its affiliates from any claim, loss, or expense arising from your use of the Services, your User Content, or violation of these Terms.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect product changes, legal requirements, or security needs. Material updates will be posted in the app or on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Services after changes become effective constitutes acceptance.
